Sweater Coat
I was feeling adventureous and, therefore, recently joined a group of ladies whom are also knitting a sweater coat. Because I was not certain how the size would come out, I originally stressed about which site to knit for myself and finally decided to begin and adjust where necessary.
I chose this beautiful Ella Rae wool.
And here are some pictures of the back as I began:
And now I have completed the back and it is currently 52".
Now it's time I begin working on the front left and right panels.

Ballet Tee
Orange Scarf
Turquoise & Green Shrug
This was a shrug I enjoyed making. I found the pattern in a booklet and chose turquoise & green yarn I thought would enhance the design.
It's light weight enough to be comfortable to wear on a cool evening yet keeps you warm. And Stephanie was gracious to model it!
And to accent the outfit, I also created a crochet necklace that adorns a matching glass art pendant.

Cheese Spaghetti & Lima Bean Socks to Completion
Below is the skein of wool that I dyed various colors. And as you can see it is prodominently orange. Argh!
I had beautiful green wool in my stash and chose to knit with it to help neutralize my vibrately orange dyed wool for my jaywalker socks.
This is progression of the socks completed knitted down beyond the heel.
I reinforced the base of the heel by knitting with both wools.
And finally, the socks completed down to the toe. With only a little grafting to go.

My Jojoba Socks
I love knitting socks! The projects are small and portable enough to carry with me just about anywhere. I especially love visiting various yarn shops! I'm a very touchy, feely person and find it very exciting when I learn of the different types of yarns that are available. For socks, I'm putty when it comes to soft yarns.
While searching the internet, I learned of the Austermann Step yarn which is soft and has jojoba oil in it. And so I found skeins at a local shop and because my family wears shoes ranging in sizes 11 to 14, I also purchase two skeins. I personally found the Austermann Step pattern very straight forward and easy to follow.
I love the stretchability of K2P2 ribbed crew socks, but chose to add a bit of a twist. I K2P2 and alternated to P2K2 every 10 rows, which I thought gave an interesting pattern and still remained springy and snug fit around the leg. I also continued this pattern down the top of the foot and knit stockinette under the bottom.
When I finished knitting these socks, I gave them to my mother. She also always admires my socks but says they are too nice to wear and so she just saves them. However, on one very cold day when I was not able to find the right socks to wear, the socks were available and between you and me let's just say, they feel great to your feet and are very warm in the winter. :-)
